Pet Therapy Prep Course
Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT)

The Pet Therapy Prep Course is a class that has gained much interest for families with dogs (or even cats!)

Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) is a rewarding way to share the benefits of our pets with others. This class is designed to prepare the dog and his handler for work as a therapy dog. There are many types of therapy work a dog can do, and many people are interested in enhancing the lives of others who can’t have a pet in their lives due to assisted living, hospitalization, etc.

This class is a prep course designed to prepare handlers and their pets for testing  with AAT / AAA programs. All dogs who are enrolled in this class should have basic obedience skills. Rocky Mountain Dog Training does not certify nor does it guarantee that a dog will be certified, as each therapy facility has their own set of requirements.
