Level One - Puppy Obedience Classes
This 6-week course offers complete training for puppies. Group classes for puppies are fantastic because they offer the dog the opportunity to learn in a high-distraction environment and socialize with other puppies and humans. It is of the utmost importance to socialize and train your puppy during puppyhood as this is a critical time in the dog's development. If you fail to properly socialize your puppy, it can have life-long negative reprocussions. Dogs that aren't exposed to other dogs, strangers and a variety of environments simply do not adapt well to new situations and a routine visit to the groomer could be a nightmare for you, the groomer and the dog. A little preparation up front really is vital to the lifelong success of your pet.
During these group classes, you and your dog will work as a team to perfect basic obedience skills (verbal and hand signals) such as:
- Come
- Sit
Down
Stand
Sit/Stay
Down/Stay
- Leave it / Take it

About our Group Classes
We keep our groups small - generally no more than 5 participants so that we can give each dog / handler pair the one on one time that is crucial to succeeding in basic obedience! Classes are rolled out on a regular basis and we have weekend availability. Each package includes the group classes and one private in-home lesson. We also cover basic overall dog care, nutrition, creative problem solving, and general management of your pet. Group classes are great for dogs still in need of socialization or work around high distractions (most dogs!). Full family participation is encouraged. Please call us to confirm a date that will work best for you and your family.
When are these classes
Classes are generally held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please contact us to find out when our next class in your area begins.
