 Puppy Obedience This class is designed for puppies up to 9 months. It's important to remember that with every action we take we are teaching our puppies. With this in mind, we enable puppy owners to use the right skills from the start with their dogs to begin shaping positive behaviors at an early age. Since the puppy's brain really is like a sponge, we teach owners how to appropriately interact with their dogs to minimize future behavioral issues. We educate owners on how dogs learn, and how to think like a dog when troubleshooting common problems. Our early learning classes cover: - puppy-proofing your home

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy We also offer AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy testing at the completion of any of our beginner training courses for dogs less than 1 year of age. S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity and Responsibility. The program is a precursor to AKC Canine Good Citizen and requires a variety of owner responsibility requirements to be met and that the dog is free from aggression, tolerates handling, and that the puppy has acquired good bite inhibition.
